BiH national "A" team began the preparations for the World Cup qualifier with Gibraltar at the FFBIH training center in Zenica today. Coach Mehmed Bazdarevic confirmed to us that all team members should arrive today, including Pjanic who called in to say that air traffic in Italy was stalled because of a strike.
As usual, coach Bazdarevic was availabe to media representatives for statements: "We have enough time to check up on players and do what we had planned. Some have already arrived, some will come later, but according to the information we have, there are no injuries fortunately, only fatigue.
Many will say that we play our next game against, so to say, outsiders, but I have to mention that we have our own way of dealing with matches, and we prepared for this match very seriously. Three points are absolutely necessary for us. We respect our opponent, but everyone expects a victory."
Debutants Kenan Piric and Dario Djumic introduced themselves and said what this event means for them.
Djumic: "This is my dream, I'm happy and proud and will do my best to show my skills. I don't expect anything other than giving the maximum at the training sessions, and ultimately the coach will decide who will play."
Piric: "It's a great honor and pleasure to be a member of the team, especially when you come from the Premier League. It's up to us to work well, and whether we play or not that's up to the coach to decide. We all expect victory, anything else would be bad for us. It won't be easy, we have to go out and play seriously."
Coach Bazdarevic and his coaching staff planned a training session for 17:30 hours today, however those who didn't get the chance to play in their clubs will work somewhat differently to those who did.
One of the proud FFBIH sponsors, Hyndai Auto BH, used the opportunity to present their new Hyundai I30 car today.
