He was born on March 10th 1965 in Sarajevo, where he graduated from elementary and high school. He graduated at the Faculty of law in Sarajevo, in 1991.

He was active in FK Sarajevo youth football school (from 1976 to 1984), second-division club Famos from Hrasnica (1985 - 1986), and republic representative FK Unis from Vogosca (1986 - 1991).

He worked as a professional sports journalist in "Vecernje novine" until year 2000, when he went to work for FFBIH as a legal expert. After that, from 2002, he was a competitions department secretary, and from 2005 he was promoted to competitions and legal departments secretary.

At the same time, from 2003 to 2008, he also worked as a national A team staff secretary. He was involved in club licensing procedures as a legal expert, and was an editor in FFBIH magazine called "BH Fudbal".

He was appointed the general secretary in 2010. He is a Member of the BH Olympic Committee and the President of the Court of Honour of the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The second Vice-President of the UEFA Women's Football Committe.
