Today, encouraging news arrived from Munich regarding the health status of national team player Haris Tabaković. According to information received by the coaching staff from his club’s medical team, the injury Tabaković sustained in his most recent game isn’t serious.
Still, given the short period before the start of the World Cup, the situation will be monitored with special caution in the coming days.
Tabaković will join the national team preparations and remain in the roster until the final moment, considering his importance to the team that secured qualification for the World Cup.
At the same time, the coaching staff decided to issue a late call-up to Arjan Malić, a young international who has been part of the qualifying cycle from the beginning and who earned his place among the players heading to preparations through his attitude toward the national team, quality, and professionalism.
There’s a possibility that Tabaković will recover and be ready for the second part of the group stage, which could also affect Malić’s eventual playing time at the tournament. However, all circumstances have been communicated openly and fairly with the players, and Malić once again showed great commitment to the Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team.
He’ll join preparations from day one and be available to the coaching staff, while the head coach Sergej Barbarez continues preparations ahead of departure for the world’s biggest football competition.
