Cup quarterfinals draw

Spasić and Zukanović agree: To continue with good games as in the Nations League!

As part of the media activity of the “A” national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the assistant coach Dragan Spasić and the defender Ervin Zukanović addressed the media at the Austria & Bosnia Hotel today.

Spasić wishes for the team to continue with good games:

“We have time to the match and we do not know whether Kolašinac will play against Armenia. Each opponent plays as good as another team permits to it. The Armenians have both defects and virtues. Players will have to continue where they stopped. After good games in the Nations League, now we have an obligation to continue that way. We will try to use their deficiencies to make a good result.”

Zukanović thinks in a similar way:

“After good results in the Nations League, where we were the first in the group, we have a good atmosphere in the team and it’s nice to come to the preparations of the national team. Everything goes according to plan. The rain made it a bit difficult, but we are working and preparing for the match. We expect three points, but the most important thing is that we will be concentrated on the pitch, because there are no easy opponents. We will do our best to start with a victory.”

The experienced defender believes in placement to the EURO:

“It all depends on us. If we continue to work and play as in the Nations League, I believe that we have a good chance of placement to the EURO. However, it is still too early to think so far. The most important thing is that we start with victory on Saturday, and afterwards we will think about other opponents.”

Prior to today’s training session, the Dragons had an interesting visit at their hotel. On the occasion of the World Day of Persons with Downey Syndrome, the children from the “Life with Downey Syndrome” Association of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina have been socializing and photographing with our team members in Ilidža.

Tomorrow at 19:45 h at the Grbavica Stadium in Sarajevo, the official press conference of the BH team will be held, and their training session at 20:30 h.

Before that, media activities of the Armenian national team, press conference at 18:30 h and the training session at 19:00 h will be held.
