5th Round of the BiH Women's Premier League

The matches of the fifth round of the 2024/25 Women's Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina will take place this weekend.

SFK 2000 Sarajevo will host Emina from Mostar at the Otoka stadium on Sunday, September 29 at 19:00. The team from Sarajevo enters the match with a maximum of 12 points after four rounds, while Emina is second with 7 points. The Mostar team has played one match less, achieving two wins and one draw.

SFK 2000 Sarajevo coach Samira Hurem said before the game: "We can't wait for the match against Emina on Sunday! All previous matches between us and them have been great and exciting, so we expect the same now. Emina is a club that works well and invests in their team every year, and only such clubs can make this league better. Our goal is certainly to win, and we want to continue our positive streak and keep improving our form."

Midfielder Alisa Spahić also shared her thoughts: "We’re hosting Emina from Mostar, and we believe it’ll be a good and exciting match since opponents always have extra motivation when playing against us. Our team is becoming more compact and better from game to game, so I hope for our best performance yet and another win for us."

Emina’s head coach Zijo Tojaga commented: "It’s the derby of the Women's Premier League, and it's good that we have such a match ahead. We’re working well and hope for a good, open game from both sides. We’ll give our best, even though we see the home team as favorites. I believe the fans will be pleased with the derby."

Emina’s offensive player, Andrea Čule, expects a tough match: "We’re facing a very strong and well-known opponent, but I believe in our team. We’ve shown great dedication and unity in training. The team is well-prepared, and we all share the same goal. We’re aware of the tough challenge ahead, but we’ve worked hard. It’s important to stay focused and enjoy the game."

In addition to this match, two other games are scheduled: Leotar will host Libero on September 28 at 15:00 in Trebinje, while on September 29 at 13:30, Iskra will face Radnik Bumerang in Bugojno.
