- FC Leotar became the champion of the very first common championship in the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina after unification;
- FC Željezničar won the BiH Cup after two finals matches versus FC Leotar;
- FF BiH has organized the International Cadets Tournament where, in addition to BiH, there have also participated cadet selections of Croatia, Serbia and Montenegro, Macedonia and Slovenia. The matches were played in Tuzla, Ugljevik, Banovići, Živinice and Srebrenik;
- On September 20, in Sarajevo was held the ordinary annual session of the FF BiH Assembly, where, among other, according to the provisions of the FF BIH Statutes, a rotation in Presidency of the FF BiH was made, and therefore Dr. Milan Jelić took over the function of the Federation’s President;
- BiH National “A” Team has completed the qualification competition for 2004 European Championship in Portugal as fourth ranked in its qualifying group. A crucial match versus Denmark that was played in Sarajevo on October 11, was finished with draw (1:1), while for the placement to the European Championship the BiH National Team had to win;
- On drawing lots for the 2006 World Championship in Germany, that was held in Frankfurt, BiH National Team was classified in the seventh qualifying group, together with national teams of Spain, Belgium, Serbia and Montenegro, Lithuania and Andorra.
