Tonight's first play-off match between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Republic of Ireland's national football teams ended in a draw (1-1).
There were no goals in the first half, however in the second half Irish took the lead in 82' via Robbie Brady. Fortunately, Edin Dzeko evened the score only three minutes later (85').
After the game coach Mehmed Bazdarevic said: "We're not satisfied with the result and we're slightly disappointed. Maybe we tried too hard and burned out in the process, but we should have given more to our fans out there. We were good at first, but we didn't manage to score the goal. Even though the current result is not favorable, we still have a chance. I don't think they are better than us, and so far nothing is lost. Our team will show a different face next time in Dublin."
Senad Lulic: "We knew what to expect, Ireland is a tough team. The result of 1-1 is not bad at all and still gives us a chance in the second leg. However we had plenty opportunities to score the goals tonight, and we should have taken that advantage."
Toni Sunjic: "We played better, but we were punished after several failures. It's good we managed to even the result, and now we're going to Dublin for victory."
The second leg will be played on November 16th at 20:45 hours (19:45 local time).
