Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team lost the second leg play-off match against Republic of Ireland 2-0 at the stadium Aviva in Dublin tonight.
Ireland took the lead in 24' when referee Bjorn Kuipers awarded a penalty shot for Ireland who scored the goal via Jon Walters. Our team had the best opportunity to even the score in 34' when Haris Medunjanin missed the shot after Edin Dzeko's assist.
In the second half, there were several attempts on target by Medunjanin, Lulic and Pjanic, but none could jeopardize Irish goalkeeper Darren Randolph. Unfortunately, Jon Walters managed to score a second goal for his team in 70' after Brady's successful free kick. Shane Long also had a chance to score in 75' when he went one-on-one with our goalkeeper Asmir Begovic, however he missed.
Vedad Ibisevic hit the goalpost in stoppage time and that was the last chance in tonight's match in which Republic of Ireland qualified for 2016 EURO.
After the game coach Mehmed Bazdarevic said: "It's hard to say anything right now. We are sad not just for us, but also for our fans. We knew how Irish can play and make problem for us with aggressive tactics. We didn't respond properly, and we made too many mistakes. Penalty against us made everything even harder. All I can say is that we're having a hard time."
