The awards for the best players and goalkeepers in all BH Premier League categories for the season 2015/16 have been presented today at the hotel Terme, Ilidza.
The event was opened by president Elvedin Begic who welcomed all attendees and pointed out that FFBIH aims to promote our domestic competitions, football and sports values through these events.
The award for the best Premier League player went to Zajko Zeba who plays for FK Sloboda Tuzla. The other two nominees were Zvonimir Kozulj (Siroki Brijeg) and Haris Duljevic (Sarajevo). "I'd like to thank my club and my teammates who made all of this possible, and also to FFBIH who's in charge of this competition. I'm surprised but very happy for this award", said Zeba.
Goran Karacic from Zrinjski got the award for best Premier League goalkeeper, ahead of Kenan Piric (Sloboda) and Vedran Kjosevski (Zeljeznicar). Best goalscorer in this season was Sarajevo's attacker Leon Benko with 21 goals.
The recognitions for sports achievements were received by Zrinjski and Radnik's coaches Vinko Marinovic and Slavko Petrovic.
Just like last year, Armisa Kuc from WFC SFK 2000 Sarajevo was voted the best female player of the season with 41 goals: She bested her team colleague Jasna Djokovic and Marija Aleksic from Banja Luka.
Young Almina Hodzic (also SFK 2000) was the best goalkeeper in Women's Premier League, ahead of Aida Avdic (ZOFK Gradina) and Danica Spasojevic (Radnik Bumerang).
Best futsal player of the year is Srdjan Ivankovic from Mostar SG Staklograd who received the most votes. Second and third were Marijo Aladzic and Emir Milanovic.
Best Futsal Premier League goalkeeper award went to Bahrudin Omerbegovic from MNK Centar Sarajevo. His competitors for this title were Stanislav Galic (Brotnjo) and Zoran Stanivukovic (Celinac).
Fair play award was given to a referee Darko Obradovic who saved young Halilovic's life who lost consciousness after a hard duel during the game.
The event began with a moment of silence for recently deceased mayor of Zenica Husejin Smajlovic and Velimir Sombolac, a distinguished sports worker and football player (Borac, Partizan, Olimpija).
