Football festival titled "Say Yes To Women's Football" was held today in FFBIH training center in Zenica

Football festival titled "Say Yes To Women's Football" was held today in FFBIH training center in Zenica. The event was opened by general secretary Jasmin Bakovic who said: "This isn't the first time we're having this kind of event, and in cooperation with FIFA and UEFA we keep affirming women's football. Each year there's growing number of girls, teachers and coaches interested in football. Some of them will show their support today. About 150 girls from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina came here, and that's a confirmation football is really the most important sport out there."

Women's national teams' coaches Samira Hurem, Nikola Nikic and Ilija Lucic also pledged their support.

Hurem: "150 girls came here today to say "yes" to women's football. We have considerably more registered players now than we had four years ago, which means football has a bright future in our country. We're trying to provide a nice, pleasant ambiance for these girls to work in and it's really nice being here in Zenica today."

Nikic: "This is a great initiative by FFBIH, and I think we're on the right track to create respectable women's football teams. Many girls are participating in the festival today, and it seems they enjoy it. I hope our results will keep getting better in the coming years."

Lucic: "It's very nice being here, this is our fourth festival, and it keeps getting better each year. This is also a good opportunity to scout these young players for one of the national teams.

Best Women's Premier League goalkeeper Envera Hasanbegovic was very happy to be a part of this: "I'd like to thank FFBIH and those involved in this event. Many talented girls are here today, and I advise them to use this opportunity as best as they can because women's football will keep on expanding and improving. Conditions for them today are also much better than what my generation had when we began playing football."

Mirena Hacic from ZOFK Gradina shares her impressions: "This is my third festival, and events such as this help me be a better football player. It's nice, and I like it here."

Marija Baotic from Mladost Poljavnice has similar thoughts about it: "It's great being here, we practice and hang out at the same time, and you can see how conditions for women's football are improving in our country when you go to these events."
