Today's gathering at the hotel Dolce la Hulpe in Brussels officially marks the beginning of the preparations for the upcoming 2018 World Cup qualifiers with Belgium and Cyprus. The coaching staff has been analyzing team members' play time during the past weekend and monitoring their respective time of arrivals. Training is scheduled at 17:30 hours today. Coach Mehmed Bazdarevic leaves nothing to chance and confirms that everything is ready:
"We have no bad news regarding players' arrivals or injuries and I hope they'll be here later today. Milan Djuric and Toni Sunjic will join us tomorrow, however by 12:00 hours tomorrow, the team will be complete and we're going to do everything we planned to and be ready for the game on Friday.
We're preparing for two games, both equally important, so we have to think about what awaits us after the match with Belgium. Our first goal is to bring all players to the same level when it comes to recuperation, because they all played on different days and we have to even that by Wednesday. We'll also perform a new tactical training, but I'd rather not discuss it now.
Belgium is a quality opponent, one of the best teams in the world. They can easily pose a problem for us and score goals. It's up to us to play a good, complete, and tactically sound game. Desire and fighting spirit can make all the difference, and it's our duty to give our best. It won't be easy, but if we concentrate the result will come."
