Bosnia and Herzegovina's futsal team is having a training session in Zenica for upcoming Euro qualifications, and today we took the time to talk to Dragan Ikonic (21), KMF Tango player who is one of the youngest additions to the team.
"I was 19 when I started playing for Tango. With my team I've gained international experience because we participated in UEFA Futsal Cup.
I'm privileged to play for my national team, which is additional motive for my career and makes me try harder. I'm young and I hope to play an important part in my team in coming years. Although Russia is the best team in our qualifying group, I believe we can cope with the best out there. However, play-offs is our primary goal, and we have a chance to make that happen. I invite our supporters to come to Zetra in large numbers and help us in our effort."
On Premier Futsal League: "With new BIH Premier Futsal League, the quality of this sport has improved immensely in our country where we have several excellent fusal teams. I'm sure the competition will only keep getting better in the future."
