Bosnia and Herzegovina's futsal team gathered today in Zenica for preparations ahead of Euro qualifying round, and on that occasion we talked with Ivan Matan, player from Alumnus Zagreb.
"I started playing futsal in MNK Seljak from Livno when I was in high school. I've been there for four years and I've played in first FBIH league since there was no common futsal championship. I'm glad because I was given a chance to play in senior categories.
I believe we'll be ready for qualifying round. The team is now younger, and I expect us to play faster and more aggressively. We know each other well, we trained good and I think we can make a positive outcome.
Russia is favorite team in our group, Netherlands has better ratings and experience than us as well, but with our fans' support and maximum effort we can beat them, including Latvia.
Playing for national sports team is highlight of one athlete's career, and when it comes to that I give my best every time, during the training session and during the match."
He briefly talked about Premier Futsal League: "Although I play in Croatia, i follow our Premier league as well, and it seems it keeps getting better each year. I hope we'll have unified championship in youth categories as well."
