Bosnia and Herzegovina female national junior team is undergoing a training session in Zenica, and one of the young players from Mladost Nevic Polje took her time to talk with us today.
Josipa Strukar: "I've been playing football since I was eight, and at the age of twelve I started training with Mladost Nevic Polje. I like the sport, especially since everyone associates it with men and I'm glad female football is moving forward in this country.
Tomorrow's friendly match with senior team will be a real test for us and an interesting match. They are very good, however we also have the means to stand up to them, it's just that we have to prepare well.
These preparations are important because of the ongoing championship break. We all work out in our clubs, but national team's gathering is essential in preparing for the upcoming mid-season. I'm a regular player in NK Mladost, and I'm happy with that. Unfortunately the results aren't at the level they should be but we look forward to improving our game in the spring."
Josipa's football role model is USA national team member Alex Morgan and besides that her ambitions are to remain in the national team, and hopefully one day to be a part of BIH "A" team.
