Young player from ZOFK Gradina, Maksida Islamovic, has been listed on coach Samira Hurem's national "A" team lineup. She talked with us today about her career and upcoming qualifying match.
"Playing for the national team has a special feeling. All girls who play football should make an effort and give their best to reach the national team and see what it means.
The match with England will be tough probably, because they are the third best-ranked team in the world at the moment and they're very good. However, I believe in these girls and I know how far we can go. We'll leave our hearts on the field and we won't allow them to dominate.
Football in our country is getting better all the time. There's still room for improvement, but I hope we'll reach that high level we deserve in the future.
I play football because I like it. I don't know what will happen later, but it's up to me and my efforts."
