Young football player from Posavina, Domaljevac Mateja Mikic arrived yesterday in Zenica with rest of the Bosnia and Herzegovina women's cadet national team and she took her time to talk with us about her career today: 

"There was a playground near my house where boys played football, so I joined them and come to love the sport. I've been training since I was seven. It's an exceptional honor and pleasure for me to represent my country and I always try to do it the right way. I'd like to play for BIH national "A" team one day.

I'll try to prove myself here, earn an invitation to the next gathering and take part in UEFA development tournament in Hungary. There's nothing left to to but work hard and stay dedicatated, because that's the only way to stay competitive in the national team.

I'm happy with my performance in ZNK Posavina, we've played a lot of games this year through various tournaments, and we played them well. Starting next season, we'll compete in the first FBIH league, meaning that even better women's football will come to Domaljevac. I practiced individually every day, I'm always training, and I think I'm in good shape."

One test match is scheduled for tomorrow after which the preparations will be complete.
