Bosnia and Herzegovina national "A" football team is currently in between two major qualifying rounds, one we failed to qualify for (2016 Euro in France) and the upcoming one for 2018 World Cup in Russia which begins on Sept. 6th against Estonia.

Tonight's match against Luxembourg has a special significance for coach Mehmed Bazdarevic because it's the first in a series of friendly games he'll use to come up with the best lineup for World Cup qualifying: "At this point we really need peace, quiet, concentration, positive atmosphere and we'd like to ask all media to help in maintaining these conditions that will allow our players to give their best in all upcoming events. I believe that qualifying for the final World Cup tournament is a common goal and desire of all football-lovers and sports journalists in our country. That's why we expect of them a fair attitude, and in return we'll do everything to return that favor and have the same kind of relationship with them. Only this way can we achieve the desired results."

Bazdarevic emphasizes that all players, including captain Dzeko, oldest team member Spahic and debutants Duljevic and Grahovac, arrived in Luxembourg highly motivated and willing to put all of their skills towards common goal, a victory which would boost the necessary confidence and give us incentive to excel at the next friendlies with Switzerland and Spain as well as Kirin Cup which will be held in Japan in June.

"There weren't any problems so far, all members are highly professional and responsible. We learned our lessons from past qualifying rounds, we know what we want and it's up to us to strongly march forward. We depend on the support from fans and media, and we hope they won't fail us. The players, our coaching staff and the FFBIH itself will do anything in their power to bring positive results home and cheep up the good people in Bosnia and Herzegovina", said Bazdarevic.
