Bosnia and Herzegovina women's national "A" football team member Melisa Hasanbegovic has changed her club in the winter transfer window, and went from SFK 2000 Sarajevo to the Swedish Kvarnsvedens IK, a team that performs in the elite ranks in Sweden.

Hasanbegovic has already begun training with her new teammates, and she shares with us her first impressions of the new environment:

"Kvarnsvedens is just like I imagined and expected it to be. The players and coaches are very friendly and outgoing and have a great understanding for me. The first impression is actually more than good, everyone's very professional and responsible, and I'm glad I came here."

Are you looking forward to the start of the competition?

"When it comes to the Swedish league, I can't wait for everything to start. We're going to have ten friendly games in the preparation period and I hope I'll be to gain coach's trust and meet the expectations."

Melisa will turn 22 in April, and her hard work made this transfer possible.

"This is a great and rare opportunity, and I want to use it, but I also want to open the door of this league to other Bosnian football players who certainly have the quality. My message to all players in Bosnia is to be honest, train hard and commit to yourself, and the results will come for sure."

Our national team member commented on SFK 2000 and national team's results:

"Last year we've achieved significant results in the club and the team. All players, coaches and staff worked hard to make that possible. SFK 2000 works very well and we were only a step away from the Champions League 1/8th finals. Women's football in BiH is in constant progress and I hope it will continue to improve in the future so other players from our country will be able to compete in the best European football leagues."

Besides Melisa Hasanbegovic, another player from SFK 2000 was transferred to Kvarnsvedens IK this winter. It was Armisa Kuc, who was declared the best female player and scorer in Women's Premier League in the past two seasons.
