"I was six when I started training at FK Borac, Kozarska Dubica, where I spent eight years. After that I went to Kozara and from there I joined our national football team. I't an honor being part of this team and everything that happens with it. I have to say it's very nice playing for your country.
The match against strong Ukraine was very good, and that should be our motive to play even better tomorrow and get closer to Euro. I expect us to win against Montenegro if we play right. We should meet our coach's expectations and tasks if we want to win."
Two goalkeepers are Trkulja's inspirations: "Being a goalkeeper, my role models are Petr Cech and Pepe Reina. They are the best, especially Cech who won the Champion's League by saving his goal."
On his ambitions, he says: "I believe good matches and hard work will provide me with an opportunity for something big."
