Bosnia and Herzegovina's futsal team arrived in Zenica today for their scheduled training session, and on that occasion we talked with captain Nijaz Mulahmetovic from MNK Centar.
"I've started playing futsal by accident because my priority then was football. However, through various tournaments I've started to like it and soon after I joined MNK Orlic with whom I won the championship and Cup later that year.
I've never trained in better conditions, training camp here has everything one might need. We are heading into the next qualifying round with several young but good players. There are few of us with more experience, however we're looking to pass on that experience to the younger players. I'm sure we'll be ready by then.
As for qualifications, there are two very good opponents in our group. We have the slight advantage being the hosts, but Russia and Netherlands are very good. We also shouldn't underestimate Latvia as well. "
Nijaz iz very proud he plays for the national team: "Every athlete's dream is to be able to play for the national team, it's a great honor to be a part of this team."
At the end he talks about Premier Futsal League: "Futsal has improved a lot in our country since unified championship has been established, it's too bad they haven't came up with that earlier. We have more quality teams and games, which in turn attracts more audience."
