Samir Memisevic is one of the players from the BH Premier League who was invited by coach Mehmed Bazdarevic for a national team gathering in Switzerland.
Even though he had a successful season, Memisevic didn't expect his call: "I never expected to be invited by coach, so naturally I was very happy when I got an official invitation. It's the crown of my phenomenal season, and certainly it's a great honor to play for the national team and work with players like Dzeko, Pjanic and others.
I'm a debutant here, I don't know many players besides those from the Premier League, so I'll do my best to put an effort and learn something from my older colleagues. I'm extremely motivated to perform well during each training session."
Radnik's captain admits there's a big challenge ahead of him and his club: "We've fought our way to the international scene for the first time ever. No one expected us to achieve that, so it'll be a huge test for me. I must say it's an honor and privilege as a captain to lead my team in the Europa League, where we'll see how far we can go."
His ambitions are clear: "I hope I'll be given a chance to spend a few minutes on the field against Spain. Should this opportunity arise, I'll try to use it well, and hopefully I won't "burn out" from huge desire to do well.
