Senad Lulic is a player who always leaves his last ounce of energy on the field. Among his teammates he's joking around, spreading cheerfulness and positive atmosphere. Today he talked with us about the upcoming match with Belgium:
"They are the favorites in our group, but we knew that already. We started the qualifiers with a good result at home, and now we want to keep that pace. However if we talk realistically, we'll be competing for a second place with Greece. This team has been toghether for a long time, we played the World Cup, and that's a lot of good games together. That's why I believe we'll have to use our chance on Friday to make a good result here.
It's not easy to win 5-0 nowadays, but that last victory gave us the confidence for this match as well. They are missing a few key players, but regardless of that we have good individuals and a good team that can make a difference."
When asked about his performance he said:
"I've always been a bit self-critical. There's always a way to play better. The most important of all are the good results, because there will always be forgettable games. Even if you play lousy sometimes, you can always fall back to the positive results, especially in the qualifiers.
It's always a good and fun atmosphere for us. This is normal because we know each other for years, this group has been together for a while, we played a lot of qualifying games, and it's always nice to hang out with these people."
