Bosnia and Herzegovina Under-17 national football team will be hosting the Elite Round qualifying tournament for Group 7 next March, when they will compete against England, Slovenia and Czech Republic.
Coach Sakib Malkočević thinks the group is strong: "Every team in the Elite Round possesses the quality. England is an absolute favorite in the group, and one of the best teams in Europe at that age. We've played with Slovenia in the development tournament before, and that's the only team in our region whom we have a negative score against. However, there's enough time to prepare for qualifications, and we'll try to repeat the success of previous generation who qualified for the European Championship. It will certainly be very difficult, but I think we should seek our opportunity against Slovenia and the Czech Republic."
In the 2017/18 qualifiers, BiH cadets will play against Slovakia, Moldova and Macedonia. Malkočević also commented on this group: "We're used to playing in the Elite Round so we expect a success in the next season as well. That will be a new generation, but we have a lot of time ahead of us to think about upcoming season."
