Red Star Belgrade player Marko Brkic missed the European Championship Elite Round of qualifying due to injury, but now he's ready to help his teammates in Croatia:

"The team worked very well during the preparations. We were met with a beautiful scenery here in Opatija, it's a delightful town with pleasant people, and the conditions for training are also at a high level. In this regard, I think this will be a good European Championship for us.

We all know that Germany is one of the favorite teams for the championship title, but that doesn't mean much to us because we have our own game. We'll try to achieve the best possible result and make our job easier. This championship means a lot to us and will certainly prove a good addition to our resumes. It's a great opportunity for affirmation, because every athlete strives to compete with the best and for that reason we're proud to have qualified for the major football competition."
