Bosnia and Herzegovina national junior football team is preparing for the upcoming European Championship qualifiers, and so far they performed two training sessions at the FFBIH training center in Zenica. Goalkeeper Igor Markovic believes in our U-19 team's quality:
"We had an opportunity to prepare for this qualifying round through previous meetings where a lot of players got their chance. I think we have a strong team and I hope we can succeed.
We always evaluate our opponents, and in the coming days we'll be analyzing them in detail. Austria has a strong and fast team not unlike Germany's. Azerbaijan can be tough, just like Lithuania. We're a compact unit, I think we have a particularly good offense, and ultimately I believe we can finish this tournament second or even first."
He briefly talked about his performance in Partizan Belgrade:
"I'm a standard player in the club and I'm in good shape. Fortunately I had no injuries and I'm ready to assist the national team now."
Our team will depart for Lithuania on Oct. 1st, and until then they'll have four more training sessions.
