We are used to Vedad Ibisevic's goals, so our expectations of him are quite high when it comes to the second leg play-off match with Republic of Ireland. In the first leg he didn't score any goals, but he thinks this match might be similar to that historic match in Lithuania when he made it happen.
Ibisevic's thoughts and impressions about the first match in Zenica: "Impressions and emotions have settled a bit, and we're a little smarter now. A lot of things didn't change which leaves us 90 minutes to fight again. We expect a tough game and we have no time for detailed analysis of each player's game. We saw our mistakes, we'll try to correct them, but we also know what we did right."
When asked if Irish may have a slight advantage he replied: "Theoretically speaking, they perhaps have a slight psychological advantage of playing at home plus that away goal. However it can also be a burden for them, and they could end up with the wrong tactics. As players, we shouldn't bother with that. When you go out there on the field, everything changes and it's important we do everything we agreed upon. That's what matters."
How he prepares for this match: "As usual, I have my own way. This match is special and the most important thing for me is to be well rested and mentally ready. However, I did it differently with Portugal back then because we already have more experience than players who didn't go through that."
By some estimates, about 3.000 BIH fans could attend the match at the Aviva stadium tomorrow. "We know our fans will follow us wherever we play. Their support means a lot to us and we'll be glad that to have them by our side. However, we have to be good on the ground in order to make them happy", he concluded.
