Bosnia and Herzegovina's WU-17 team is currently having their winter training session in FFBIH training center in Zenica, and on that occasion we talked with their captain Merjema Medic.
"I've been playing football since I was seven. I took an interested in it after watching my friends play. I joined them shortly after that, and later I went to SFK 2000 where I play now. I'm proud to be a captain for the national team. Everyone who is serious about sports wants to represent his or hers country, and I'm no exception to that.
I have trainings with seniors also so that means I'm having two training sessions each day. I manage to coordinate football and school, because education is very important to me. I have to say teachers are very understanding about this which makes everything easier for me."
On her role models: "My favorite female football player is Alisa Spahic on one side, and Marco Reus on the other side."
"I'd like to perform for our A-Team someday, and even for some prestigious European football club", says Medic with great ambition.
