Two rounds of the 2017 WU-19 European Championship qualifiers have been played, where Bosnia and Herzegovina's national team was defeated twice by Portugal and Sweden. Coach Nikola Nikic talked about those games:
"Our players fought as best as they could. We played against very strong teams and we tried to keep up with them. Against Sweden we were tied for almost 60 minutes. After that there was a decline in our game and in the end they convincingly won. There were some good moments in the game and I'm sorry that we didn't do better. We have a match against Georgia tomorrow, who's on our level quality-wise. If we concentrate and fight for whole ninety minutes, we'll win.
I have to say we had really excellent conditions in ethno village Stanisici. FFBIH made the right decision when they organized a tournament here. All teams have been preparing well, and at the same time enjoyed a nice setting."
Third round is scheduled for tomorrow at 14:00 hours (Sweden vs. Portugal Stanisici, and BiH vs. Georgia in Bijeljina).
