UEFA, as the umbrella European football house for 55 national associations, has tackled all the challenges of today when it comes to human rights and environmental protection.
Bosnia and Herzegovina Football Federation, as a socially responsible organization in the field of sports, recognized the importance of this project, and clearly expressed its commitment to fully follow the path of sustainability that UEFA has shaped. This path includes the promotion and contribution to the improvement of all areas defined by the UEFA project "Strength Through Unity" 2030, which deals with complex issues of sustainability. Advocating for respect for human rights and the environment is the only right path. UEFA has been promoting its activities and actions for a long time through the "Respect" features. The blue logo refers to respect for human rights, and the green logo to respect for the environment. The sustainability strategy includes eleven specific areas. Organized by the Bosnia and Herzegovina Football Federation, at the Bosnia and Herzegovina vs Georgia match, for the first time in Europe, two national teams accompanied the national anthem in T-shirts with UEFA sustainability insignia, and clearly sent messages of peace and tolerance. And each player wore a different color of shirt, which carries a special message.
In the coming period, Bosnia and Herzegovina Football Federation will involve all stakeholders through certain projects, with the aim of implementing activities that promote all defined values, especially in the areas of anti-racism, equality and inclusion, regardless of any differences, support for refugees and migrants, solidarity and respect for all human rights, as well as projects that will lead to environmental protection through football.
