Bosnia and Herzegovina "A" and Under-21 national teams' coaches Mehmed Bazdarevic and Vinko Marinovic held a joint press conference today at the hotel Europe in Sarajevo where they published their lineups for the upcoming qualifiers.
"A" team will play against Greece on June 9th at the stadium Bilino Polje in Zenica, and coach Bazdarevic invited 28 regular, and 3 additional players (Tomic, Duljevic and Besirevic). Team members will gather on June 1st in Sarajevo.
Bazdarevic: "We're not sure if several players will be able to play. Milicevic will undergo medical exams today, Djuric is definitely out, while Pavlovic and Vrsajevic also had injuries. We hope they will be ready for the game. We also have players who are in top form, while others had very little game time, and it's important that we work with them during preparation period in order to come out with optimal performance for the match with Greece.
They were tough, responsible and disciplined against the Belgians, and they could have done more besides a draw. I'm sure they will play like that against us in Zenica, and it would best for us if we don't rush and remain organized. I think we possess the quality to do it, and with our fans' support we'll play the game the right way. There's no room for improvisations; we have to approach this match very seriously."
Under-21 national team is scheduled to play a qualifier against Switzerland in Biel. Coach Marinovic comments the upcoming game:
"We have achieved what we planned against Liechtenstein. Now we have an away match in Switzerland who has an exceptional team and this will be a real test for us to see how strong we are. They haven't played any qualifiers yet, but they had a couple of friendlies which we have analyzed of course. We expect a similar lineup to that against Germany, but in the meantime we'll prepare as best as we can for that game.
We talked with Hrustic and we sent him an invitation. It's up to him now to decide because he was also invited to play for Australia's "A" team. We did our part, and now we wait for his answer."
