Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team will gather for the first time in new year since Euro play-offs last year. The team is scheduled to play to friendlies, one on Mar. 25th against Luxembourg, and the second one on Mar. 29th against Switzerland. This is also the period when coach Mehmed Bazdarevic and his staff have the time to put their minds into less visible but equally important tasks:
"After qualifying games, there was a period of detailed analysis. My associates and me went through all the statistical data and through detailed analysis tried to come up with some facts we can use in the future. We spent a lot of time, but we completed a whole picture of what we were doing, what were our weaknesses and strengths, and what we can rely on in the coming qualifications. In addition to mutual talks, we had several meetings with general secretary Bakovic and director Piric who presented FFBIH's views and expectations and in a way prepared us for the responsibilities that lie ahead.
We have already begun to follow players' work and performance, mostly those who play in England and Italy at the moment. Every day we exchange information and we will use this opportunity to visit several teams that already started with the preparations.
Getting to know the players takes a long time and I'm glad we started with the scouting a long time ago. I don't want to mention the names, but there are few young players that we have keep our eye on, however they will need to do their best.
Friendlies with Luxembourg and Switzerland pose an opportunity to perhaps expand the list of team members, we wish to see as many new players as we can play for our main national team. It's normal we're thinking about broadening the team, and I believe we possess the necessary solutions for that.
No matter how stressful and unpredictable this job is, I miss football games. Ten days after the match with Ireland I wanted us to play the new game, because that's the most difficult thing in this line of work, but also the most beautiful as well. We miss the adrenaline, the rush, and everything else that comes with the match."
