The BH “A” national team head coach, Mehmed Baždarević, today announced in the Europa Hotel in Sarajevo a list of players counting for qualifying matches for the FIFA World Cup, with Belgium and Estonia.

Ervin Zukanovic will miss the match with Belgium for suspension, but he will compete for the squad in Estonia. Mario Vrančić and Ermin Bičakčić are injured.

Baždarević also commented on Salihović's return to the national team:

“He returned to Germany where he spent the best of his career days. He played very well. We need his experience, because he has gone through many of such games with us. His human and football qualities will be useful for us in the upcoming matches.”

Journalists were interested in why Riad Bajić was not on the list:

“Between Bajić and Kodro, we decided for the Mainz striker, in reason of his diversity in relation to the other offensive players we have. Riad has just joined to the new club, but we follow and count on him”, said the coach.

Mehmed Baždarević believes that this team can beat Belgium:

“The opponent is strong; we all know it and it will be very difficult. We believe that we can win, but we all have to do our best. Return to Sarajevo is also significant to us. I expect the support of the spectators, which could help us to achieve a favourable result. The Belgians will come for a victory and that must be our motivation. We have to prepare well and play the game the way we all want. I expect a lot of all of us.”

The preparations of the national team will start on Monday, 2^nd October this year, and the team will be accommodated at the Austrija Hotel in Ilidža.
