Bosnia and Heregovina national "A" football team coach Mehmed Bazdarevic held a press conference today in Sarajevo at the hotel Europe, where he spoke about his team's latest results and the plans for the future.

After welcoming all attendees, Bazdarevic looked back at the recent games: "In the last five friendlies, we've won four times. With the exception of first 25 minutes against Spain when we weren't up to the task, we can be satisfied with the rest. The players showed character and didn't give up. I hope they'll play with that kind of attitude in the future as well."

Coach also talked about team's appearance at the Kirin Cup Soccer in Japan: "Many criticized us before we even went to Japan, but we didn't care much about that. The coaching staff and I made the decision which players will compete at the Kirin Cup. We had some problems with injuries prior to that, but I'm glad we won the trophy and it was very nice to see the players from our league to play at that level."

Media representatives wanted to know whether the players from the Kirin Cup will have their place in the national team during the upcoming World Cup qualifiers: "There's plenty of time until the match with Estonia, but it's certain that some players from the tournament in Japan will be considered for the national team. It's important that we have multiple solutions and variety of players in case of injuries, suspensions or yellow cards. The guys from our league have shown they can play at a high level, and it's up to us to choose the best among them."

Bazdarevic spoke about the plans: "We'd like to gather players from our domestic league once again and continue to monitor them and their progress. We've watched a lot of games, scouted potential team members, but also checked out our opponents in the qualifiers."

At the end, coach revealed that Danijel Milicevic, who plays for belgian football club K.A.A. Gent, gained the right to play for our national team. A get-together with journalists and media representatives continued for some time after the press conference.
