After yesterday's defeat by Germany, Bosnia and Herzegovina cadet team lost their chance to qualify for the European Championship quarter-finals. Winger Amar Besirevic thinks his team could have done better:
"I'm sorry about yesterday's defeat because we played a good match. We opened it in the best possible way and managed to score a goal in the first minute. We've received the next goal from the penalty shot, and for the duration of the second half, we were a man short. It was really hard out there on the field with only ten players. Germans took advantage of that and won.
However, there's still a match with Ukraine. We have time to get ready for it both physically and mentally in order to win at least three points at the European Championship. Regardless of the defeat against Germany, I think we've showed our quality and I hope we'll win the next match."
