“The importance of medicine in football” was the slogan of this symposium, where the BH FF was represented by doctors in the “A” national team, Reuf Karabeg and Adnan Hadžimuratović, and the president of the Committee for Sports Medicine, Adnan Šatrović.
It was the first meeting of its kind after the coronavirus pandemic, at which the experiences from the previous period were summarized, and the event with the Danish national team player Christian Eriksen at the European Championship 2020 was analysed, with the aim of raising awareness of the danger of a sudden heart attack and the readiness to react in at a given moment.
More than 350 doctors participated in the symposium, including representatives of all UEFA members. The UEFA Medical Symposium is held every four years, and the previous one was in Athens.
