Bosnia and Herzegovina Under-17 national football team departed for Moldova this morning where they'll participate in the European Championship qualifying tournament from 23-28 September.
Coach Sakib Malkocevic: "We performed six training sessions in Vogosca, and the most important is that there were no injuries. We tried to catch up and rectify some mistakes that occurred during the friendlies with Italy. We'll be cautions in Moldova but we're also optimistic. We've qualified for the Elite Round for three times in a row now, and we want to continue that streak.
It won't be easy. Russia is the favorite team in the group, and it's certain that Moldova and Latvia also have their own ambitions. Teams from Eastern Europe are constantly getting better at the club and international footabll level. They all play well and it will be difficult, but we're hoping to finish the tournament at the first or second place and qualify for the Elite Round."
BiH cadets cheered for our women's national "A" team in the match with Serbia in Zenica yesterday, and in turn they wished them a good luck in Moldova.
