Bosnia and Herzegovina's futsal team held a press conference today in hotel Park in Vogosca ahead of qualifying tournament which starts tomorrow in Sarajevo. Coach Boro Matan and players Nijaz Mulahmetovic and Tomislav Bevanda talked with media representatives.
Boro Matan: "Our qualifying group is one of the most interesting. Russia has one of the best futsal teams in the world, and Netherlands owes us a debt from the last qualifications. Latvia must not be underestimated as well. We'll do everything in our power to make a positive result, and that's the play-offs. We've analysed our opponents, as they probably did too, so there will be no uknowns there. I'm an optimist, and I believe we can finish second."
Captain Nijaz Mulahmetovic: "We weren't so lucky during the draw, the group is extremely good. We play at home, and that could be our advantage besides fans' support. Our team has improved since last qualifications, and we'll do our best to win."
Tomislav Bevanda: "Qualifying group is tough, but we can make a positive result. Last time, we lost to Netherlands in the final moments of the match. That could be an additional motive for us to get back at them and advance to the play-offs."
Two matches are scheduled for tomorrow, BIH vs Netherlands at 17:30 hours, and Russia vs Latvia at 20:00 hours. Everyone expects support from the stands, especially since the entry is free.
