Compared to the qualifier with Gibraltar, Miralem Pjanic, Vedad Ibisevic, Sead Kolašinac, Edin Visca, Ibrahim Sehic and Amer Gojak won't be available in Elbasan. However, Edin Dzeko and Ognjen Vranjes went with the team instead, and Senad Lulic and Mato Jajalo will arrive in Tirana later.

Before leaving coach Mehmed Bazdarevic said: "The players have done what was needed and won three points. I think the audience was satisfied with our performance as well. The situation in our group started to get complicated and now everyone can compete for first place, which can be good for us. Now we have to be strong, smart and lucky and it will be all right. We're going to Albania, where we'll try out some other tactics that may prove useful in the future."
