The third round of UEFA's U-16 development tournament has been held today, and the winner is Bosnia and Herzegovina's cadet team. They defeated Azerbaijan today with 5:0.
"This tournament was useful for upcoming qualifications where we want to advance to the second round. We had good opponents, and I'm happy we won. There were some minor issues which we have to correct before the qualifications", said coach Sakib Malkocevic.
FFBIH technical director Denijal Piric was satisfied with the tournament and the work that's been done so far, and of course congratulated the coach and all the players.
In the second match, Scotland defeated Montenegro with 1:0 via Tom McIntyre (47').
BIH has won the tournament with 8 points, followed by Scotland with 7, Azerbaijan with 3, and Montenegro with 0 points.
The trophy was awarded by UEFA representative Jean-Michel Benezet.
