Bosnia and Herzegovina women's Under-16 national football team has gathered today at the FFBIH training center in Zenica and thus began preparations for the UEFA Development Tournament. Also, our players performed one training session today.
Assistant coach Sabina Pehic-Ovnovic: "It's great these girls have come together and started preparing for the tournament, which will be the first one for this generation. Opponents are good, and we should witness a good football in the coming days. We'll prepare and try to win the first place. Developer tournaments are useful because they can show us our players' form, and there's enough time until the qualifications so everyone will get a chance to show themselves."
Team member Minela Gacanica: "I'm glad I'm back in the team and I can't wait for the tournament to start. We're getting ready to make the best result possible, but also our goal is to get into shape before the qualifying games."
Edenina Husic: "We'll be ready for the tournament. I expect us to win all three games."
Zorana Milanovic: "I'm happy I was invited to the national team. This tournament is important to us because it will help us play better later on. We have good players in the team, and I think we can do well."
Our cadets will play their first game against Montenegro on Sunday, Apr. 23rd at 16:30 hours at the training center. Slovenia and Lithuania will also participate in this tournament.
