Bosnia and Herzegovina Women's Under-17 national football team gathered yesterday in Vogosca and began preparations for the upcoming European Championship Elite Round qualifying tournament, which will be held from 20th to 25th of March in Sarajevo and Doboj-Kakanj. Coach Ilija Lucic's players have already performed three training sessions, two in Vogosca and one at the stadium Grbavica.
Coach: Lucic: "All team members arrived, they're healthy and we hope to make a good result. From what we've seen, Norway is the favorite team in the group, but we have our own ambitions. We're playing at home, and we really want to qualify for the European Championship."
Team captain Aldina Hamzic: "The atmosphere is great, everything went really well from the beginning. We're trying to prepare for tournament as best as we can in order to succeed there. I hope we'll be up to the task and present ourselves in the best light, especially because we're the hosts.
Team member Minela Gacanica: "We can't wait for the games to start. The group is very strong but we'll fight and leave our hearts on the field, and hope for the best. I expect the support from our fans as well."
In the first round, our team will play against Denmark on Monday, March 20th at 15:00 hours at the stadium in Doboj-Kakanj.
