After Ervin Zukanovic's malicious comments in media how FFBIH was responsible for him not getting the US visa in time, we would like to clarify this issue. FFBIH applied for his visa at the US embassy in time, however some minor problems occured, and the procedure in his case took more time than we anticipated, so he wasn't cleared for visa by May 27th. US embassy and BIH foreign affairs office offered no explanations, and further interventions were no longer possible.

FFBIH is very sorry for everything that happened, but it's clear it can't be blamed for this problem, and we consider Zukanovic's earlier comments malicious and unfounded. Coach Safet Susic offered him a place in the team at the World Cup, regardless of his presence in the USA, but after hearing about his outburst in the media he and rest of the staff decided to take back his offer, and he is no longer welcome in the team.
