Bosnia and Herzegovina's national football team played two matches in the last week of March, one qualifying against Andorra and a friendly match with Austria. Besides several players' debuts, this was also coach Mehmed Bazdarevic and his staff's debut.
This whole experience was very positive for his first associate Stephane Gilli: "This was my first contact with your peopel, and I can say I'm very happy with the mood within the team. Players worked well and were willing to meet our requests. The match with Andorra was seemingly easy, but it wasn't, however Austria was very serious opponent and I think we accomplished our first goal. We got the points we needed, and saw the potential of several new players who could be important in the future.
I enjoy working here with players, staff colleagues, and everyone else around us. I get by, and I even can say something in Bosnian. I'm focused on the team however, and I always think what else we can do. The most important is that everyone's willing to work and keep the continuity. Our job is to come up with what's best for players and work together with them to make that happen."
Dragan Peric: "I think we did a good job, we were all like one. In the last ten days we've made a significant progress for the future, mainly though players and the results we accomplished."
Igor Jankovic: "First gathering was very nice experience for me. Cooperation in the team and staff is great which nicely translated to the field. Victory in Andorra was the most important goal, and besides that we managed to please many fans in Austria all which will surely give us boost in the next qualifying games. We understood each other very well from the beginning, and it's my opinion this staff has the quality and skills to lead our team to Euro."
Goalkeeper trainer Enver Lugusic: "Everything is first-rate, we cooperate and get along really well. Players are very professional and fair, they worked hard and I enjoyed working with them as well. We have a fantastic relationship, they followed my instructions and I hope we'll keep on working like."
