Gathering of all youth national football teams will be held in the FFBIH training center in Zenica from Jan. 28th to Feb. 21st this year.
On that occasion we talked with Denijal Piric, FFBIH's technical director: "Following our plans, we plan to gather male and female youth teams, and bring together young players from abroad. The purpose of these gatherings is to choose new recruits for our national teams and further train those who are already part of one. We encourage our Diaspora to send the players from United States and Europe for evaluation. After these football camps, we plan to gather even younger players from all over the country and give our coaches and their associates a chance to select the best players our country has to offer."
Piric commented the results of youth teams in the previous year: "Honestly we could have done more, however I have to point out our U-17 team and its coach Sakib Malkocevic who remarkably represented Bosnia and Herzegovina and managed to qualify for the elite round. Women's teams are constantly rising and improving. In the last five years, our youth teams achieved evident improvements especially with elite round qualifications. Our goal is to become regular participants in major football competitions."
FFBIH will seek to improve the work with the youngest football players out there: "According to the FFBIH's strategic plan and program, we strive to influence and change the philosophy and perception of youth football schools' work in Bosnia in the professional and systematic way, because the system in majority of youth schools is inadequate and neglects very important aspects of young people: physical, technical, tactical and psychological."
