In March of 2017, Bosnia and Herzegovina hosted two UEFA Elite Round qualifying tournaments for the European Championship, and Football Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina was a technical organizer of these events. The tournament for men's Under-17 national teams was held in Bijeljina where our national cadet football team managed to qualify for the European Championship for the second year in row. Women's cadet teams held their tournaments in Sarajevo and Doboj-Kakanj. For its efforts regarding the organization and meeting the highest standards, FFBIH received official commendations from UEFA officials. All of this couldn't be achieved without the valuable help of these events' hosts.
Hereby FFBIH would like to thank everyone who were involved in the organization of said events, especially the management and staff at ethno village Stanisici, employees of the FK Radnik Bijeljina football club, district football association of Bijeljina, and mr. Radika Maric. The local audience deserves a sincere praise for being the "twelfth player" to our players and without whose support our team wouldn't be able to achieve this success. Their passionate support from the stands was an additional motive to Sakib Malkocevic's team on the road to this major competition.
We also thank the staff of the FK Mladost Doboj-Kakanj football club, employees at the stadium Otoka in Sarajevo and hotel Park in Vogosca, whose hard work and commitment to the women's cadet tournament was exceptional. The highest of UEFA standards have been met thanks to their dedicated work. And finally, many praises to the police, fire and health departments in the respective cities for carrying out their duties in a professional manner.
