Football Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Elective General Assembly was held today at the hotel Terme, Ilidza. The Assembly was opened by president Elvedin Begić, followed by a speech by UEFA representative Jacques Bondallaz.
All 60 delegates attended the Assembly, which means that all decisions made were valid. At the beginning of the session, president Begić awarded and named Ivan Osim an honorary president of the FFBIH.
Once the working bodies have been chosen, the following decisions were adopted:
- FFBIH Executive Board main and alternate members elected for the next four years: Mile Kovačević, Irfan Durić, Mato Jozić, Nurdin Peštalić, Muhamed Begagić, Muhidin Raščić, Midhet Sarajčić, Ivan Beus, Dragan Soldo, Elvedin Begić, Ivan Perić, Milorad Sofrenić, Ranko Vučković, Zlatko Spasojević, Dragan Kulina, Milan Bjelajac, Seadin Badić.
- FFBIH president Elvedin Begić got 56 delegate votes, first vice president Milorad Sofrenić got 55, and finally, second vice president Ivan Beus received 54 delegate votes today.
- Begić: "Over 90% of the delegates voted for me and that's a big commitment. I have to thank the majority of the media who supported us and encouraged me to run again. It's our duty to justify this vote of confidence in the future, and to build this football association on safe foundations. Thanks to UEFA as well because there's nothing we could have done without their support."
- Bondallaz: "Congratulations to Mr. Begić, Mr. Osim and the Executive Board members. I wish you all success in the years to come. I hope that Bosnia and Herzegovina's national football team will continue to make progress on the FIFA rankings. I'm glad that today's session was held in a spirit of mutual respect and understanding. I would also like to thank the Election Committee on their excellent work."
- Ivan Osim, Dušan Bajević and Sead Kajtaz were elected the Mediation and Counseling Board members, while three more members will be chosen at a later date.
- Presidents, vice presidents and members of the FFBIH legal committees were also elected today, mainly: Diciplinary Committee, Appeals Committee, Prosecutors, and Club Licensing First and Second Instance Committee.
