During the last EURO 2016 qualifying match when we had high hopes for playoffs, we lost one of the most important players in our national football team - Muhamed Besic. The red card in the match with Andorra presents a major handicap, but also a warning to others that any hasty decision in the field will be sanctioned.

Besic's statement and apology proves that it was just a moment of sports weakness and temperament. We'd like to apologize to our fans in his name, and ensure them he will be properly sanctioned for these actions. This is also an example for other players who wear BIH colors. Only through courage, caution, hope and vigilance we can move forward.

With FFBIH's acceptance of Muhamed Besic's apology, we show our supporters and public there's an acceptable threshold of tolerance and that we're aware of upcoming matches where we expect the maximum efforts from our national team.
