FFBIH executive board discussed the disciplinary actions UEFA took against FFBIH regarding incidents during the Euro qualifying match with Israel on June 12th in Zenica. In that regard, executive board reached the following conclusions:
- Disrespect towards Israeli national anthem and flag, as well as other unacceptable behavior are strongly condemned;
- While FFBIH is grateful to security authorities for their excellent job in keeping Israel's players and staff safe, they are asked to identify and prosecute all involved perpetrators according to local laws as soon as possible;
- FFBIH would like to apologize to Israel Football Association (IFA) for supporters' behavior, disrespect, and failure to accept earlier fair-play appeals;
- There's a genuine concern about the consequences of these acts at UEFA Disciplinary Committee, with notion that this might affect BIH team's future in the remainder of Euro qualifications;
- True fans are invited to give support to our team by acting responsibly, with tolerance and respect, all according to UEFA's rules and guidelines;
- Coach Bazdarevic has been praised for his recent lineup, as well as player Ognjen Vranjes who played the match against Israel highly motivated, despite some of the supporters' pressure.
