The annual ordinary Football Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina general assembly was held today at the hotel Terme, Ilidza.
Besides regular delegates, UEFA representative Thierry Favre was present at the meeting along with the honorary president Ivica Osim, national "A" football team coach Mehmed Bazdarevic, executive board advisor Zvjezdan Misimovic, representatives from regional associations, and other FFBIH bodies and employees.
FFBIH election committee found that 58 out of 60 delegates were present at today's assembly meaning all decisions made today are valid and final.
Thierry Favre from UEFA addressed the attendees: "I'm glad to see you all again and for being able to convey greetings from president Ceferin. UEFA will continue to support FFBIH's management and all its new projects, especially the new business building."
President Elvedin Begic held an intoductory speech in which he pointed out FFBIH's orientation towards bringing the work to the next level, and all the important decisions that have been made in the previous period. According to him some of them are: administration reforms, improved club and national teams' competitions, financial consolidation, promotion of football across Bosnia and Herzegovina and so on. Also the fact that FFBIH assets were worth 5 million BAM in 2011 compared to 11 million in 2017, with no external debts whatsoever, speaks volumes about the progress made.
In 2016, FFBIH has performed many activities, implemented a significant number of projects, and achieved notable results: winning the Japanese Kirin Cup with "A" team, qualifying for the European Championship with U-17 team, playing in the Elite Round with U-19 and WU-17 teams, establishing the BHT Premier League with 12 clubs etc.
After a discussion, the assembly delegates adopted the following items:
- a) 2016 FFBIH work report,
- b) 2016 FFBIH financial report, and
- c) 2016 FFBIH audit report.
General secretary Jasmin Bakovic presented FFBIH's work plan for 2017: amendments to the Statute, administration reforms, activities regarding the new business building renovation, projects aiming to improve infrastructure and football competitions etc.
Financial committee member Momir Tosic elaborated in detail their income and expenditures plan for this year.
At the end of today's session, delegates unanimously adopted the the 2017 work plan, 2017 financial plan, decision on FFBIH Statute amendments, decision on dismissal and appointment of the Club licensing first and second instance committee members, the decision to establish a unified Under-15 youth league, and the decision to shorten the Premier Futsal League to 10 clubs starting from the season 2018/19.
All reports and plans were accompanied by textual and video presentations. After two hours of work, the FFBIH general assembly was concluded and once again deemed successful and well prepared.
