Football Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina referees committee held a meeting today in Sarajevo where this body reviewed the entire footage of the Premier League match between NK Siroki Brijeg and HSK Zrinjski, and reached the following conclusions:
- There were several referee mistakes over the course of match, however they were completely unintentional albeit detrimental for both teams:
- 31' – head referee makes a bad penalty kick call;
- 51' – assistant referee fails to notify head referee of foul against player number 5 inside penalty area;
- 64' – after rough foul against away player, head referee didn't send player number 9 off;
- 80' – once again, assistant referee fails to notify head referee of a misconduct made by home player number 5, who should have been sent off;
- Bearing in mind the above mistakes and acting on UEFA referee regulations, FFBIH referees committee suspended referees Irfan Peljto and Tomislav Cuic for the duration of two Premier League round (6 games).
All FFBIH competition committees, including the referees committee, operate and make decisions independently but in cooperation with the rest of administration. However no FFBIH department or governing body will succumb to pressure coming from any football club and/or its individuals, which means all competitions will be protected and carried on according to the relevant regulations.
FFBIH refereess committee along with competitions department will file a charge to the disciplinary committee against those resposible at the NK Siroki Brijeg for violating FFBIH code of conduct.
